"Bruneton House is situated in the centre of Brompton Regis, which
nestles in the Brendon Hills on the southern edge of Exmoor National park.
Built around 1625 for a wealthy landowner, the house provides very spacious
accommodation in three comfortable, south-facing sunny bedrooms. Each
bedroom is individually designed and equipped to the the highest standards,
with beverage facilities and a radio. Visitors are offered a true taste of
rural hospitality, and there is a separate TV lounge, which overlooks
a pretty cottage and the stunning Pulham Valley.
A full English breakfast is included in the
nightly rate and evening meals are available by arrangement. Special diets
can be catered for, and meal times are flexible to suit your holiday
enjoyment. All the meals are prepared using delicious local produce, and the
trout from nearby Wimbleball Lake is a speciality.
Mentioned in the Doomsday Book, Brompton
Regis is a small ancient settlement boasting an inn and a Norman church.
Enjoying a central location, it is within easy reach of the north and south
Devon coasts, where you will find beautiful beaches, fishing villages and
countless attractions. If you prefer quieter country pursuits, Bruneton
House is situated in some of the most beayutiful countryside in the British
Isles and is an ideal base for walking and fishing. And excellent for
cycling!"
