An Introduction

46.  10st 6lb.
Started cycling long distance in Year 2000

May 2000:
Reivers (Route 10) and C2C (Route 7) back to back

May 2001:
Aberdeen to Edinburgh (Route 1) and Coast & Castles (also Route 1) - routes combined

June 2002:
Forth - Clyde Route and bottom half of the Scottish National Cycle Route (Glasgow to Carlisle)

August 2002:
C2C Revisited

September 2002:
Stanley to Berwick (part of Coast & Castles route again)

July 2003:
Plan A is to do the Orkneys and Shetlands but it has to be cancelled. Scotrail unable to tell us why we can't get a train north of Inverness - engineering works at the height of the Scottish holiday season ? Too much negative energy wasted on them and give up after 1 million telephone calls to their call centre and head office.

Plan B is to do the Hull - Harwich but has to be cancelled again.

Plan C is go - Derby to Berwick, Route 68, the Pennine Cycleway

This is my personal Pennine Cycleway. My own thoughts and experiences along the way.
