After the many sculptures on the Clyde - Forth cycle route, the sudden and sometimes mysterious sculptured figures continue as the long Inverness to Carlisle route (Scottish National Cycle Route) shares its path for a while with the Clyde - Forth route. Dry scars of land, former railway lines, shape the route here and continue to cut widely across this whole area of once heavily industrialised southern Scotland, and now providing excellent paths for cycling.
