Cycling through Upper Coquetdale near Rothbury, one of the Cheviots' three main valleys.
Rothbury is not quite in the National Park, nor is it quite on the Pennine Cycleway. But it's right on the edge of both, has a National Park Information Centre and is an excellent point to stop and rest before the final day. A quiet road linking the town to the cycle route is shown on the official map.
