From Padstow in Cornwall you set off on the hugely popular and flat Camel Trail. Then it's up onto the edges of Bodmin Moor, into the lower areas of Bideford and Barnstaple, before entering Exmoor National Forest Park. From there, other than the climb out of Wells, it's easy going all the way to Bristol or Bath, whichever you choose as your finishing point.
